Our Mission: Building a Better Community for All
We serve as a leader, collaborator, and fundraiser for these community programs.
We administer Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for children living in Missoula and Mineral counties. Through this program, young children ages birth to 5 receive a new, age-appropriate book in the mail each month at no cost to their family. Books and a love of reading improve literacy skills and set kids up for success in Kindergarten, and the school years following it. Learn more here. Sign your child up here.
United Way of Missoula County is a leading partner of Reaching Home: Missoula's 10-year Plan to End Homelessness.
The city-county effort is co-chaired by our CEO Susan Hay Patrick. Now housed at the City's Office of Housing and Community Building, Reaching Home is staffed by a full-time coordinator and has made important progress implementing the plan.
United Way of Missoula County is a leading partner in Let's Move! Missoula, which works to prevent and reduce childhood obesity in Missoula County by getting kids and families to move more and eat healthier. This coalition is a collaboration among the City-County Health Department, local schools, businesses, and nonprofits. Click here for more on Let's Move!
