Veteran Housing Fund

Veteran Housing Fund

The Veteran Housing Fund at United Way of Missoula County helps veterans in and around Missoula to secure housing or stay in housing. It is meant to be a flexible and adaptable fund to meet the needs of veterans on their housing journey.

To be eligible for the fund one would need to self-identify as a veteran, have proof of their military service, and proof of how filling their need will help them get housing or sustain housing. This fund is meant to fill the needs and gaps of our veteran houseless response system in Missoula. This fund allows veteran providers and partners to get creative in their problem solving.

Since this fund’s inception in October of 2024, Missoula providers have used this fund to decrease veteran houselessness by almost 50%, we had 96 actively homeless veterans in February of 2023 and as of May 2026 there are 54 actively homeless veterans in Missoula.

Please support our effort to reduce veteran houselessness by going to our donate page and selecting Veteran Housing Fund in the dropdown menu.
