5-2-1-0 Let's Move! Missoula is a community initiative mobilizing projects and partnerships that build healthy kids and residents of all ages--no matter where they live, work, play or learn. Projects focus on creating environments with access to activity and nutrition and social support. This program is operated in partnership between Missoula Public Health and United Way.
Midday Move is an active recess program that brings staff and volunteers to the playground every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. By adding positive adult role models to recess, Midday Move encourages kids to get moving, build connections, and enjoy the physical and social-emotional benefits of active play. Current Midday Move schools are: Russell, Lowell, and Hawthorne Elementary.
